Got Your Bling?

If you love having a little bling in your life, you'll love what I have to show you today:  Swarovski Elements wallpaper.  This gorgeous collection is beautifully designed by Karen Beauchamp for Swarovski.  These papers would definitely add a little glamour to any room.  There's an array of rich and opulent colors and patterns available all with this state-of-the-art technology of embedded crystal elements.

For more patterns and colors visit their website and facebook page.  You'll see they also offer so much more than wallpaper.  I have my eye on the iphone case!
Time to dream:  Where would you install Swarovski wallpaper?

Chaps My Hide

The add for the Kyle Bunting company says "The extraordinary in hide" and I heartily agree.  Kyle Bunting creates amazing rugs, wallcoverings, upholstery and furniture out of hides.  I'm marveling at all of the creative applications they have come up with, especially the wallcoverings.  Bright colors and contemporary patterns are used in many products.  Take a look:

Pretty fun, right?  I'm sure it costs a fortune but I would love to specify it someday!

Walnut Wallpaper

Walnut Wallpaper being the name of the company, that is, not wallpaper made from walnuts or walnut colored.  I was turned on to Walnut Wallpaper by the a mention by the editor of Dwell magazine, Michela O'Connor Abrams (yes this was at the Sustainable Furnishing synposium mentiored here.  I got so many gems of information there!)
This fun company is located in Hollywood, California.  Founded in 2005, It features many of the in-demand and hard to find wallpaper lines and designers while also providing eco-friendly wallpapers, as shown below.
What a fun resource to find!

Bamboo Wallpaper Revisited

I remember as a kid, studying the bamboo wallpaper that the original owner of my parents house had put into the dining room and the shiny metallic bamboo wallpaper in the bathroom and not caring for it at all. The wallpaper was from circa 1979. I was a more than a willing helper to my mom in stripping the hideous paper from the walls (or painting over it as we did in the dining room - whoever installed it never wanted that sucker to come off those walls!)

Here we are 30 years later and I'm about to commend some bamboo patterned wallpaper from Farrow&Ball! Is it my tastes that have changed or are these patterns significantly better than they were 30 years ago? It's probably both. I will say that the color choice given here are much more diverse and fun than the originals I loathed. Check out some of the fun patterns and colors!
