Tile Design

I haven't showed very many photos of my own work so I thought I would share some of my latest tile designs I did for my local Dal Tile Showroom. Dal Tile chose the granite and I designed the backsplashes. They gave me free reign of their product. I have such fun doing it! It was hard to narrow down my choices but I like how they turned out.

Aluminum Furniture

I was recently contact by a company homedecorations.com who has a variety of interior and exterior items for the home. I found these aluminum pieces of furniture under their outdoor furniture section which I thought were fun and would also look great inside a modern home.
Browse the site for many other good buys on items from bathroom hardware to down comforters.

Make it FLOR on the Floor

I think carpet tiles can be a great way to give a room versitility. They are easy to install and can be changed out at a whim if you decided to change colors with the seasons or get tired of a pattern or need to replace a soiled area.

FLOR offers a great selection of carpet tiles. I came across this one pattern that looks like it belongs in an anthropologie catalog photograph or in the store.
There are so many colors, textures to choose from you can never get bored.

Happy Easter!

This fabulous bouquet is made up by my favorite local florist, Arden Park Florist. It's absolutely the epitome of spring! It's called Springtime in Paris and I think it's perfectly named.

Wishing you a great Easter weekend!

Cool drink on a hot summer evening

I saw these acrylic drink dispensers from Pottery Barn arrive in my inbox today and instantly decided these are a MUST HAVE for entertaining! Fill them with water, lemonade, or sangria on a hot summer evening. The fact that they are acrylic is a major plus. Since they will be lighter than glass, they will be easier to fill and move. They really are quite reasonably priced as well.

The Business of Bliss

Since I have started my own interior design business, I am always looking for pointers and inspiration.

I was lent this book called The Business of Bliss from the writers of that lovely Victoria Magazine. Although this book is dated by 10 years, I still found great inspirational stories from Women who decided to make a profit from what they love to do.

Not only are the photos delicious as they ever are in Victoria Magazine, this book is full of helpful pointers and lists of sources and organizations devoted to helping women in business.

I would recommend this addition to any business owner's library.

Colorful Greeks

I love getting Sherwin-Williams' STIR Magazine since it usually has interesting articles about color. This month featured an article on the topic of the unbelievably colorful ancient Greek world.

We typically picture ancient greece to be everything serenly white, monochromatic. It turns out the opposite was true. Take a look at these bold colors!
Read the article for more fascinating information about those colorful times.
