Time for Anthropologie

Each year as my birthday approaches, I love receiving my discount card from Anthropologie in the mail.  Anthropologie is one of my favorite stores, as my regular readers well know, for select interior items and especially clothing.   I thought I would share the little delight that arrived in my mailbox this morning:

Each year, the presentation is creative and unique.  I've received a necklace and a little burlap pouch.  This year is a bracelet in this year's Pantone color of the year, Tangerine Tango.  Love it!

Learning My ABCs

I have a new favorite website: ABC home.  I saw their add in Interior Design magazine and the anthropoligie-esque interior photo instantly drew me in.  I just started to skim the surface of their online store and am already in love!  I had to immediately share with you so you can drool along with me!

They have products not only for home but apparel too.  ABC home also offers carpet and is very eco-conscious. Please hop over to their fabulous site here.  You won't be dissapointed!

A Happy Place

I visited one of my happy places last week - Anthropologie.
The moment I walk into the store I'm immediatley carried away to beautiful color palettes, exotic styles, creative and inspiring displays and heavenly aromas.  This time I narrowed in on the scents.  I noticed that there was "that scent" every time I walk in the store that was just, well, Anthropologie.  I sniffed around and found home fragrance candles burning by the entrance.  I made a note to self to bring home these scents as soon as my budget allows.
The only not so happy thing about my happy place is the price tag attached to it.  My budget forces me to wander back to the clearance racks where I can usually find something reasonably priced.
I don't mind too much though, since hanging out in the store just puts a smile on my face.
I had a brief discussion with the store manager who noticed me taking photos of their latest display, describing how they made it.  She told me that the store managers and artists collaborate in the installations which take much time and precision but are always worthy pieces of art.
Can't wait to go back to get my next fix!

Make it FLOR on the Floor

I think carpet tiles can be a great way to give a room versitility. They are easy to install and can be changed out at a whim if you decided to change colors with the seasons or get tired of a pattern or need to replace a soiled area.

FLOR offers a great selection of carpet tiles. I came across this one pattern that looks like it belongs in an anthropologie catalog photograph or in the store.
There are so many colors, textures to choose from you can never get bored.

March Catalogs

I just received my March Anthropologie and Pottery Barn catalogs in the mail today and thought I would share my favorite images.

These first two are from Pottery Barn. I love this easter tree table display! The framed wall below just looks pleasing to me.

These two are from Anthropologie . I love the lighting and the mirrored chest which is so ever popular right now.

Letters and Monograms Galore

One of the best places to purchase unique letters or monograms is at one of my favorite stores, Anthropologie. Their website has numerous styles of letters in various formats to meet your letter needs. My favorite letters they carry are their Zinc letters that can be hung on the wall. I used them in a previous project and find they are a perfect size, shape and font. These ones are about 8" tall by 5" wide. Anthro also carries oversized zinc letters that are about 25" tall.

Another new favorite store is called Urban Metals and Accessories. As I browsed their website I came across these letters which I would love to have someday for home or business!
